Salters – South Carolina
South Carolina | SC Picture Project | Salters
This small community was founded in the mid nineteenth century around the same time the railroad in Williamsburg County was established. For a time the area was called Salters Depot. The depot remains a fixture here, though the town is best known for Cooper’s Country Store, a famous stop for motorists traveling to and from the Grand Strand.
